➤ Compound nouns.
It's a noun made of two parts.
1) noun + noun.
e.g. - class teacher , English language, paper bag etc.
2) 2 words - as one word.
e.g. - moonlight, tablecloth, seafood etc
3) Ving + noun.
e g. - drinking water, swiming pool, living room etc.
4) noun + Ving.
e.g. - film making, sun bathing, life saving etc.
5) noun + verb
e g. - butterfly, windfall, haircut etc.
6) adjective + noun
e. g. - blue sky , longboard, greenhouses etc.
7) noun + prepositional phrase.
e.g. - mother in law, father in law etc.
8) prep. + noun.
e.g. - underworld.

✍️Past Perfect Continuous Tense.✍️
We use this tense when the action is said to begin in past tense and continued up to a long time in past , it may complete or continue in past. Had + been + Ving verb pattern is used here. ( जेंव्हा एखादी क्रिया भूतकाळात सुरू होऊन भूतकाळातच बराच काळ सुरू राहते किंवा पूर्ण होते किंवा पुढे सुरू होण्याचा संभव असतो तेव्हा हा काळ वापरला जातो.)

Examples.
I had been reading for about 6 hours.
She had been suffering from Flu.
💁Interrogative
Wh. word + had + S + been + Ving. + O/C/A?
Had + S + been + Ving. + O/C/A?

had + not
I had not been reading for about 6 hours.

✍️ Perfect Past Tense
We use this tense when the action of the sentence is said to be completed in past. Past form of to have i.e. had + V3 (VPP) pattern is used here. Had carries the tense while V3 is perfective aspect. ( क्रिया भूतकाळात पूर्ण झालेली होती.) e.g. - I had gone to school. ( मी शाळेला गेलेलो होतो.)
👉 Assertive / Statement (Active Voice)
S + had+ V3 + O/C/A.
Examples :-
Janhavi had written an essay in school.
Science had found the solution.
India had struggled in last T20.
I had given his pen.
👉Interrogative/Question
1)Wh. word + had + S + V3 + O/C/A?
2) Had + S + V3 + O/C/A?
Janhavi had written an essay in school.
1)Where had Janhavi written an essay?
2)Had Janhavi written an essay in school?
I had given his pen.
Who had given his pen?
👉 Change the voice
S + had+ V3 + O/C/A. (Active voice)
O + had + been + V3 + C /A + by S.(Passive voice)
Example :-
Janhavi had written an essay in school.
- An essay had been written in school by Janhavi.
Science had found the solution.
- The solution had been found by science.
I had given his pen.
- His pen had been given by me.
👉 Negative
( had + not )
S + had + not + V3 + O/C/A.
Janhavi had not written an essay in school. Science had not found the solution. India had not struggled in last T20. I had not given his pen.

Assertive/ Statement.
Simple sentence having one subject and one predicate. ( एक कर्ता आणि एक क्रियापद असणारे वाक्य म्हणजे simple sentence.)
S + V + O / C / A.
S - subject ( कर्ता)
V - verb ( क्रियापद )
O - object ( कर्म )
C - complement ( कर्त्याला व कर्माला पुरक शब्द.)
A - adjunct / adverbial ( वाक्यात जादाचे शब्द / क्रियाविशेषण)
Examples -

✍️ Continuous Past Tense.
✍️ Continuous past tense.
When the action is said to be continuing in past tense,continuous past tense is used. Continued state of action. The verb phrase is in was/were + Ving pattern. ( क्रिया भूतकाळात सुरू होती.)
✍️ Assertive/statement (active voice)
S + was/were + Ving + O/C/A.
Raju was writing an essay in school.
They were raising their hands.
✍️ Interrogative/Question
1) Wh.word + was/were + S + Ving + O/C/A?
2) Was/Were + S + Ving + O/C/A?
Raju was writing an essay in school.
1) Where was Raju writing an essay? (Ans.- in school.)
2) Was Raju writing an essay in school?
They were raising their hands.

✍️ Simple Past Tense
✍️ Simple past tense.
It shows the event in the past. It also expresses past state or habitual action in past. We find the use of V2 or past form of verb in this sentence. Past Adverbials can also be found used.(भूतकाळात घडलेली घटना दर्शविण्यासाठी साधा भूतकाळ वापरतात. क्रियापदाचे दुसरे रूप व भूतकाळी क्रियाविशेषण वापरलेली दिसतात.)

S + V2 + O/C/A.
Raju wrote an essay in school yesterday.
She visited me last week.
✍️ Interrogative/ Question
1) Wh.word + did + S + V1 + O/C/A ?
2) Did + S + V1 + O/C/A?

1)What did Raju write in school yesterday? ( Ans. - an essay)
2) Did Raju write an essay in school yesterday? ( Yes.)

These types of sentences function as adverbial in a sentence. They are adverbial clause of time , place, manner, result, condition, contrast , reason etc....
🚣 Adverbial clause of time.
It expresses time(वेळ). This subordinate clause begins with time related words like since, before, when, while, after, as etc. ( वेळ दर्शवणारे क्रियाविशेषणचे उपवाक्य. since, before, when, while, after, as अशा वेळेशी संबंधी शब्दांनी सुरू होतात.)
👉The students will enter the hall when the bell rings.
👉 You can leave the school after you finish your homework.
🚣 Adverbial clause of place.
It describes place(ठिकाण). It begins with words like where, whereas, wherever, whence etc.
👉 I go wherever I find something interesting.
👉 Where there is a will, there is a way.
🚣 Adverbial clause of reason.
These sentences shows the reason (कारण). They begin with because, since, as etc.
👉 Students are working hard because their exam is near.
👉 As it is raining, she is late.
🚣 Adverbial clause of result.
It shows the result (परिणाम) of the action of the main clause. We find the use of so....that / so in such sentences. Visit remove too....to topic by searching.
👉 The box was so heavy that we couldn't lift it.
👉 We painted the house again, so it now looks as good as new.
🚣 Adverbial clause of manner.
It shows the manner. (वागण्याची पद्धत). This subordinate clause begins with words like as, as if ,as though etc.

👉 She looks, as if she has conquered the whole world.
🚣 Adverbial clause of condition.
